A LETTER FROM CLAIRE
I started Moodie because nobody else would.
Hi, I’m Claire.
I started Moodie after a long, quiet drive home from my doctor’s office.
I had gone in because sex had started to hurt. Like sandpaper. Like razor blades. I thought he would have an answer. He shrugged and said “that’s just what happens.”
“I sat in the parking lot and cried. Not because of the pain. Because of the shrug.”
When I went looking for help, what I found made me angrier. Bright pink toys. Loud websites built for 25-year-olds. Cheap foam wedges that looked like medical equipment. Lubes that worked for a minute. Pills I was scared to take. Nothing built for the woman I had become. A woman who used to feel beautiful. A woman who still wanted to be close to her husband. A woman who had been told, in a thousand small ways, that this part of her life was over.
The problem wasn’t me. The problem wasn’t my age. The problem was that nobody had built the right thing for women like us.
So I built it.
I worked with pelvic floor experts and gynecologists. We made it look like something that belonged on a nightstand. We made sure it shipped in a plain box.
The first night I used the pillow, I cried again. This time from relief.
That is why Moodie exists. And it is only the beginning. Because a woman is not one problem to solve. She is a whole person, moving through a whole chapter of her life. I want Moodie to be the place she can always turn to. Not for one thing. For all of it. A brand that grows with her. A brand that never lets her feel alone in this again.
